BLOG-Hello Summer

Well, in a few days, Memorial Day arrives and you know what that means?  Yup, we just finished almost 6 months of the year.  Where did it all go? I feel like it was just Christmas.  Perhaps it’s the music business…we always have to work 6-12 months ahead of the game.  Whether that means writing Christmas songs in the summer, or booking winter gigs in July.

BLOG-Going Viral (again!)

This week has been a pretty rough week for me…..yes, I got the dreaded flu bug.  I should not complain since I have not gotten sick for about 2 years—not even a cold, but here I write, still feeling like a slug.  I believe the worst is over, but geez, how much sleep do I really need, to get over it??

BLOG-Is is vacation time yet?

This was a crazy crazy week.  Great things, but geez…..Well, first things first.   We finished our children’s book: Seaper Powers – In Search of Bleu Jay’s Treasure!!!!!  I was not sure how much work was involved with an audio book…..until now!

BLOG-Helping each other out

This week has been a troubling one for me, as well as, many others given the events that unfolded in Boston and the surrounding area.  I found myself unable to think about anything, but the capture of those responsible.

BLOG-It is Festival Time

Hoorah!  Finally, the Washington, DC metro area has figured out they need to put on dance festivals!  Starting in June, a venue will host EDM Dance Festivals every Saturday night.

BLOG-Just Wait!

Spring finally arrived here on the east coast, and yesterday was just as pretty as it gets.  Now, since it has been so cold, those pesky little Cherry Blossoms have yet to show their pretty faces.  The festival was extended, thinking they would arrive yesterday.  So, yes, buckets of people, 5 layers deep all descended upon DC yesterday.  Traffic around the trees was unreal and at a stand still all afternoon.  But, what did they see?  Well, they did not see blossoms.  We are so impatient that the first nice day, we run to see the flowers in full bloom…only to be disappointed.

BLOG-Dancing my feet off

Crazy last week and, this week is even crazier.  I started filming our next music video.  This one is gonna be pretttttttyyyyyyy!  We are filming in such a way that it cannot be done in one shoot. Now, I made the mistake of thinking I could perform my newly learned pole dancing routine in this video….oh my.

BLOG-Being a part of a community

This past weekend in Charleston gave me a unique perspective.  I really had a chance to feel the sense of community in this town.  Everywhere you looked, whether it was the local ABC-affiliate TV show, to Taco Boy (a fantastic lunch place), to walking on the beach, was this warm feeling.
