Off to Birmingham

At a small coffee shop, we performed an intimate acoustic set in this warm brick building dating back from the 1700's while outside the winds blew 20 degree winds across the Atlanta landscape. At the end of the night, we had a chance to stop off at the local tavern and grab a drink and a few laughs.
This morning came early for us. We headed out at 7:30 AM to the Veteran's Medical Center. It was a remarkable morning filled with hope and smiles. Performing for the patients was simply amazing. I suspect our most special performance this year. I have included pictures of the Veterans in our gallery, but the photo next to this blog is a World War II Veteran nurse named "Lovely Lady" and she was every bit of her name. She had decided to keep my poster and asked for a signature before I left--it brought tears to my eyes.
Yeah, this will be a place I will want to come to.
